It never gets old.

We have season passes to Disney and try to go every week to make the most of it. However, it has been a few weeks since we've been, so we decided to go this past Friday. The best part of having season passes is that you don't have to rush. When pay to go for a day, you feel the need to cram as much into those park hours as possible, but with the passes, its ok to go and just stay a couple of hours. With this Florida humidity, that is a huge blessing. :)

Anyway, it always amazes me that every time we go to Disney, it is just as special to Madi as if it is the first time. The first glimpse of the castle gets a gasp and an "oooohhhhh, so pretty!" And then she can't wait to catch a glimpse of Mickey or the princesses. And this time, we did something new. Madi got to meet her new favorites- Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen (Nabean if Madi says it). She was very excited. And afterwards, said "Mama, they got married today!"
So here's a picture of my cutie with the royalty:

But it amazes me that Madi would wait hours to see her favorite characters. She might get bored, but when she is next in line that is already forgotten. We've taken pictures with the princesses so many times, I can't count. But every time we walk down main street Madi asks to see them. We have watched that "wonderful" parade what feels like a hundred times, but Madi can't wait to peek and catch a glimpse of Mickey and Minnie. And it reminds me how often I take things for granted. Its so easy to get in the rut of tradition and forget that each day is a gift. So, today, when you do something you've done a hundred times and it seems routine, stop and remember how blessed you are and be thankful.

  1. Our children teach us a lot! Being a parent is nothing like I thought it would be. It's so much better!
