{baby jake} 38 Weeks!!

Well,  it's finally time! In 3 days, baby Jake will be here! I still don't know what time yet, but I will find out Thursday... its funny that I won't know the time until the day before.  Lol.

I have been having some really random thoughts lately and I'm trying to reign them in, but ya know, last month hormones are a little crazy. Enjoy -  

-My dreams lately have been terrible, when I can sleep, but what can I do? I only have about 3 shirts that still fit. I toss and turn all night long so I end up not having covers or taking them all from Josh... haha... but its ok, because I am going to have a baby in 3 days!

-I go between being calm and being anxious with thoughts of the surgery Friday, so I could definitely use prayers on that front, but I know that God in in control and everything will go according to His plan.  And, I am in such capable hands.  My doctor is a Christian, so I know that the entire procedure will be bathed in prayer.  And my closest friend in the world (also a mother/baby nurse) will be right there with us just to keep her eye on things. :)

-We finally have a full name for the Baby Jake... barring any mind changes (again) between now Friday... and we love it because his initials will be the same as Josh's... J T C. :)

-I cried at the most ridiculous movie this weekend.  Real Steal.  Who cries at a movie called Real Steal? Me apparently.  Well, pregnant me. But there was a really touching scene between a father and son, and you know... it needed some tears.  

-The nursery is almost finished.  Minus about 3 things. (whoo hoo!) I am ever so grateful to my family and friends who have helped clean, helped sew, and helped me become addicted to my sewing machine. :)

-I cleaned out the car and got it all beautiful only for Madi to dump about 30 books all over the back seat again.  But, better books than cheerios and milk.  


-I am trying to rest this week, but its hard! I have so much to do! In fact, I am missing my MOPS friends at this very moment in hopes that I can rest and get a few little things done.
  

Well, I am sure you are bored with my ramblings, so thank you for reading! I can't wait to share pictures of my beautiful baby boy.  And, before then, I will update you on the nursery status.

{the baby} 11 Weeks!

Only 199 days to go or 29 weeks if that makes you feel better. It seems like the time is going by quickly and that is just fine! :) As you can see from the above picture, I had my first doctor appointment last week and everything is going well. The baby is perfect and I am doing ok too! I have been soo soo sick the past few weeks, but now that I have a prescription, I am feeling more like myself. I am just counting down the days until the second trimester. I hope its the honeymoon my first pregnancy was. :)

Josh and I still can't agree on any names... we didn't have this problem with baby number 1. Of course, it doesn't help that he is convinced its a boy so he won't even think about girl names. I have tried to tell him that theres a slim chance its a girl, but I'm sure you know how that goes.

I am so thankful for this chance to be a mommy again. Every day I realize what a blessing my beautiful little girl is and I am so humbled knowing that God has seen fit to bless me a second time with a new little baby to love and cherish.

Its going to be a beautiful ride and I am so glad you are here to take it with me. :)

{the baby} only 242 days to go!

We are still a little bit shocked to realize that we are actually going to have a baby in a few short months... but now all the fun stuff begins. We are guessing the sex of the baby, picking out our initial choices for names and deciding how to rearrange the house to turn one of the extra bedrooms into a nursery.

I am feeling great right now. The morning sickness hasn't hit hard yet, just a little nausea. I am extremely tired, but I am working full time right now, so that is understandable.

I am super excited about this little baby growing inside of me and saw some diapers on sale, so I decided why not go ahead and stock up! I also saw a cute maternity top at Target and went ahead and got that too! I know, somebody stop me, I am way ahead of myself... lol. But after waiting for almost a year for this baby, I am so thrilled God has blessed our family in this way. The hard part now is praying and trusting that He loves our baby even more than we do. So, I am trying not to give into the temptation to worry and fret about the baby's development and progress. After all, there is still a good 8 more months!

So, I am going to leave you with this funny cartoon.... this was definitely me. I actually only took the test 4 times this pregnancy... I think it was close to 6 last time.

Enjoy... I'm off to drink lots of water, eat plenty of fruits and vegetables, and exercise safely!
