I thought it would be appropriate for my first post to be about something very exciting! Last night, my friend Stephanie and I drove to Orlando and met up with Angela and her family. We all went to Barnes and Noble and..... met Ree Drummond, the Pioneer Woman! It was so exciting! (I know, Josh says I am a complete dork... ) If you don't know who she is, Ree has a website: thepioneerwoman.com. On it she posts random stories about her life on a working cattle ranch, delicious recipes, photography tips, and homeschooling advice. I have to thank Angela for getting me hooked, and now I paid it forward to Stephanie! lol.

So here are some pictures from our adventure.


We are in line. We only had to wait 3 hours....



I promised Madi a surprise for being a good girl. I told her she had to wear a happy face and be sweet. She hammed it up for the camera.
And with only one major meltdown...
she definitely earned that macaroni and cheese.




Ree and her daughters arrived... and Im sure you can imagine hundreds of women and their response.
(I did not cheer and act like a fool... no, really.)

Madi had no problem crawling right up into "Mrs. Ree's" lap.



Yes, she's just as pleasant in person.
And it only took 3 1/2 hours to find out.



As soon as we were done getting our book signed and while still in Ree's lap, Madi whispers to me, "Can I get my surprise now?"


It was a fun evening and Madi and I had a great time with Aunt Ti Ti, Angela and her family.
